Hannah was born about 1816 the daughter of Isaac Hirst and Hannah, and she was christened on the 13th August 1816 at Kipping Independent Chapel, Thornton, Bradford, Yorkshire.[1]
Hannah married Solomon Farnell on the 13th January 1842 in Halifax, Yorkshire. Solomon was living in Ovenden, Yorkshire and his father John Farnell, was a shopkeeper. Hannah was living in Northowram, Yorkshire and her father Isaac Hirst, was a spinner. The witnesses were John Thomas and ? Bairstow.[2]
1851 Census on the 30th March 1851 Hannah was living at Lane Head, Ovenden, Yorkshire with her husband Solomon and their children John, Isaac and Hannah. Sarah, Solomon's daughter from his first marriage, was also living there.[3]
1871 Census on the 2nd April 1871 Hannah a widow and a shopkeeper, was living at Lane Head, Ovenden, Yorkshire with her children Hannah, Mary, Martha, George and John. John's wife Sarah, and their son Bentley were also living there, as was another grandchild Sarah Farnell.[4]
