Mary was born in 1842. Daughter of John Hitchens and
Widower Richard Geake married Mary Ann Hitchens in 1869 in Tavistock, Devon. [1]

In 1870 Richard Geake (34) Miner, wife Mary A Geake (28) with children Hannah Geake (9), John Geake (7) and Jane A Geake (6) emigrated from England on board the vessel Alumbagh and arrived in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 30 October 1870. [2] Son Frederick was born in Eaglehawk, Victoria in 1871.
She passed away in 1902, widow aged 59 [3] and was buried at the Eaglehawk Cemetery, Mon B 28. [4]
