Biography

Richard Hitchens was the son of William Hitchens and Joanna Webster. He was baptized in Philleigh, Cornwall, on 12 April 1752.[1]

Richard married Elizabeth Stephens in her hometown of St. Clement, Cornwall, on 20 August 1775.[2] The couple had at least eleven children together:

Richard died in Looe, Cornwall, in May 1833,[14] less than two months after his wife. He is buried in Feock.
