The above paragraph suggests Hannah's parents as different than Abraham and Rebecca Hite. Discussion at GenForum also calls the linkage to Abraham into question:
From GenForum: I am delighted to find the parents for Hannah Hite who married Josiah Boone.I have looked for several years and never found a Hite family with a daughter Hannah. Can you give a reference for this information? The bible record I found for Abraham Hite and Rebecca Van Meter in "Some Prominent Virginia Families Vol IV page 344 shows four children: Isaac born 24 Mar 1753 Abraham born 25 Oct 1755 Joseph born 5 Oct 1757 George Henry born 18 Mar 1761 They were married 2 Dec 1751 The marriage date given for Josiah Boone and Hannah Hite is 1766 (no record found for that). If that is a true marriage date she would surely have been 16 years old - therefore born about 1750. Yet again, this administration doesn't leave much room for Hannah as daughter of Joseph:

Her parents are Joseph Hite and Elizabeth McKay. This information has been gathered from references to her.
