Hello! DAR has Ann (Hix) Bugg's son Sherwood as the son of Samuel Bugg - I sent in an application to have Amos added as a DAR Patriot and they analyzed the data from the documentation I sent and these are their notes, they reached the same conclusion as I did:
1. Sherwood Bugg is listed as the child of Samuel Bugg in his will dated 1777.
2. Sherwood Bugg is listed as a grandchild in the will of Amos Hix.
3. Lunenburg Co VA marriage record shows Samuel Bugg married Ann Hix 1757, Amos Hix served as surety for the marriage.
4. Amos Hix is also executor for Samuel Bugg who died 1777.
Ann's husband was Samuel Bugg instead of Anselm Bugg - everything points to it. Then after Ann died he married Martha.
