Biography

William was born 12 Jul 1879 at Galvally, Stewartstown, County Tyrone. He was the son of Benjamin Hobbs and Eliza Anne Farr. [1]

In 1916 he was a member of the Royal Irish Rifiles (Pioneers), and reported missing in the war. [2]

He passed away 13 Jun 1919 at Dungannon District Hospital, unmarried, age 39 due to broncho-penumonia as result of being gassed during the war. [3]
