William Hobbs was born in 1728 in Dullingham, Cambridgeshire.

His parents were Nathaniel Hobbs and Maria Randel.
He married Mary Webb on March 14, 1754 [3] [4]

He died in 1804 [1]. (He is noted as being a widower in the Sketchworth parish records. ) and was buried on 30 Nov 1804 in Stetchworth, Cambridgeshire. [5]
