Biography

William Hobbs was born around 1857, the son of Ellen Mary Hobbs (nee Windmill) and William Hobbs.^[1]

He was married to Catherine Jane McMahon.^[2] Their children were:^[2]

• Florence Avalon Mary Hobbs (1880–1895)
• William Leslie Hobbs (1882–1955)
• Amy Josephine Hobbs (1885–1951)
• Evelyn Millicent Hobbs (1891–1975)

• George Hobbs (1897–1897)^[3]

William died on 1 July 1928 at his home, Coorinda, 26 Wellington Street, Kew, Victoria, aged 71.^[4]
