James was born in 1846. Abner Hobbs and Annie Kelsey. In 1850, the family was living in Cedar Creek, Madison, Arkansas.[1] By 1860, the family had moved to King's River Township, Carroll, Arkansas.[2]

Death and Burial
James passed away in 1921. Burial was in the Angora Cemetery, Flag, Stone County, Arkansas.[5]
