The 1901 England and Wales Census lists George Charles as a four year old boy living with his parents, two sisters, and two young adult male visitors on Dane Street in Walton on the Hill, Liverpool.[2]
The 1911 England and Wales Census lists George Charles as a 14 year old boy living with his parents and five siblings in Walton on the Hill, Liverpool, Lancashire. His occupation is listed as warehouse hand for the Northern Tanning Coy, which is where his father works as a tanner's labourer.[3]
