Esther Hobby descended twice from Governor Thomas Dudley (1576-1653) of Mass. His daughter Anne, first American poetess, married Governor Simon Bradstreet (1603-1697) of Mass. Ann’s sister, Mercy Dudley, married Rev. John Woodbridge. Anne’s son and Mercy’s daughter married,
