Biography

Betsy (Hockridge) Francis was born in Cornwall, England.

Betsy Hockridge was born about 1819 and baptised on 5th September 1819 at Kilkhampton, Cornwall, England. She was the daughter of Daniel Hockridge and Elizabeth Hayman.^[1]

With the consent of her parents, Betsy Hockridge married John Francis on 10th March 1836 at Kilkhampton, Cornwall, England.^[2]

Betsy and John Francis had eight children.

Research Notes

Betsy's name appeared as Betsy on the baptism, Betty Ann on marriage, Betsy Ann on death. I have stuck with the name at baptism as her official name and made Ann a nickname.
