Biography

Henry Adolphus Hodge was born in 1832 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom, son of William J Hodge (~1820– ).

Henry (30) married Angelina (Richards) Nicholas (22) (born about 1840 in Gwithian, Cornwall, England) in 1863 in New Zealand.^[1] Their known children were:

• Elizabeth (Hodge) Carroll (1864–1942)
• Mr William Thomas Hodge (1865–1950)
• Adolphus Henry Springhall Hodge (~1867–1951)
• Trephina Lucretia Hodge (1868–~1961)
• Edwin Thomas Hodge (1870–~1870)

Henry died on 19 October 1874 in Barbados Street, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, aged 41. He was buried in Barbadoes Street Cemetery.^{[2] [3] [4] [5]}
