Biography

George was born in Hadley, Massachusetts, the son of William Hodge and Amanda Hopkins, in 1786.^[1][2]

George Hodge was the eldest of 12 children. His and his wife Elizabeth Tryon Hodge's heir, George Hodge Guilford, was the son of George Hodge's sister Mary Hodge (b 25 Apr 1795) who in 1813 married Joshua Guilford of Guilford, VT.

His sister was Emily Hodge who married Zebyna Tryon, brother of George's wife Elizabeth.

He married "Betsey" Tryon in 1810 in Deerfield, Franklin, Massachusetts.^[3]

He died in 1863.^[4]

… my beloved wife Elizabeth T. Hodge the use & improvement of my dwelling house, ???? house & all the land belonging unto the homestead called the Home lot … all household furniture & provisions …
