William baptised 7 October 1771 or 2 June 1775, was the son of Thomas Hodge and Jane. He became a tea merchant in Tiverton. William A Hodge maried Elizabeth Bryant on 20 March 1794 at Tiverton. The Hodges were tea merchants in Mincing Lane until 1925. In 1841 at Peter Street Tiverton was William Hodge 65 independent, living with Elizabeth 65 and Eliza 3. In 1851 William gent 79 widower was living in Barlow? Or Lower Causeway Tiverton with Eliza 45 born at Reading Berks and Mary A 35 born at Taunton, Somerset, and next door to the Hoopers Edward 65, Jane 63, Jane 19 and James Bryant 14 all born in Tiverton. Elizabeth Hodge died on 4 January 1847 and her husband William died 12 April 1856.
