Biography

Jeanie Hodge was born on 10 Jun 1867 in Kilmarnock, Ayr, Scotland.[1] She was the daughter of William Hodge 1832–1884 and Janet Bowie 1831–1871.


In the 1871 Census of Scotland Jeannie Hodge (age 3) was the daur (daughter) of William Hodge at 43 Grange St, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.[2]


William Nisbet 26 labourer bachelor (son of Thomas Nisbet and Janet Smith both deceased) and Jeannie Hodge 20 domestic servant spinster (daughter of William Hodge and Marion Small) married 25 Jun 1885 Falkirk County Stirling .[3]

In the 1891 Census of Scotland Jennie (age 22) was wife of William Nisbet (age 30), Foundry Labourer, who was the head of household at 38 William St, Glasgow Milton, Lanarkshire.[4]

In the 1901 Census of England, Wales & Scotland Jennie (age 33) was wife of William Nisbet at 81, Stirling Street, Glasgow, Milton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.[5]

Her husband William Nisbet age 47 Ironmoulder journeyman died 6 Nov 1905 western Infimary Glasgow after 1 1/2 days of fractured skull and brain lacerations Kelvin Glasgow (son of Thomas Nisbet brush manufacturer and Jeanie Smith both deceased) husband of Jeanie Hodge. [6]William's death (age 47) was registered in 1905 in the Kelvin district.[7]

Jeanie's marriage to Alexander Stewart was registered in 1908 in the Rutherglen district.[8] Alexander Stewart 1872–1927

Jeannie Hodge age 90 died Dalziel 1959. Jeanie's death (age 90) was registered in 1959 in the Dalziel district.[9]
