Biography

William was born at Castle Cary, Somerset on 21 July 1792.

He married Rebecca Goodall on 15 August 1820 at Shepton Mallett, Somerset, England. They had five boys and three girls.

Census 1861: Recorded in the household of his married son William Hodges in Cardiff Street, Aberdare, Glamorganshire, Wales. Also in the household was his wife Rebecca. He was aged about 68.

Occupation: Tailor

By 1871 he may have been living in Fulwood, Lancashire, England with his wife Rebecca and 35 year old daughter Anna Maria. His occupation was still recorded as Tailor. Aged 78.

He passed away in 1877.
