Biography

Giles Hodges Sr was born about 1728, most likely in Somerset County, England. He and Sarah had at least three children: Giles (1753), John (1763) and Richard (1765).

Giles died in July of 1784 in Seavington. He was laid to rest on the 21st of July in the cemetery of the Church of England there in Seavington.

Research Notes

• I believe that he also had a son William baptized in 1759. The surname is spelled "Hogoss" which is not phonetically similarly to any other name in that parish register.
