Ann was born in the Lanchester area of Durham, England in 1920.[1]
Mahala and Thomas and children were living with her parents at 18, East Terrace, Esh Winning, Esh, Durham in 1921. Mahala was enumerated with her maiden surname in spite of being married twice before this. [2]
