Wedding. The marriage of Miss Beatrice Lucy Drescher, daughter of ex-Alderman Drescher, Bowral,
with Mr. John Aubrey Hodgson, son of Mr. John Hodgson, late of Brooklyn, Bowral, took place at the Bowral Presbyterian Church on Monday, October 7. The Rev. G. A. Gordon was the officiating minister. The Church was filled with spectators, and was
profusely decorated with flowers, amongst which waratahs were conspicuous. The bride, who was
given away by her father, wore white muslin and the usual wreath and veil, also a gold brooch (the gift of the
bridegroom), and carried
a bouquet. The bridesmaids were Miss Hodgson, Miss Kent (Sydney), and Misses M.
and F. Drescher (sisters of the bride), who were all dressed in white, with hats to match, and
each wore a gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Lidcock acted as best man. After the ceremony the party adjourned to the Oddfellows' Hall, where the wedding breakfast was served. Among the guests present were—
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson (Sydney), Mr. and Mrs. Kent (Sydney), Mr. and Mrs. R, G. Ferguson
(Robertson), Mr. J. B. Hill (Bowral), Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Christie (Mayor and Mayoress of Bowral), Mr. A. Mitchell (Goulburn), Mr. and
Mrs. Hodgson subsequently left by the evening train for Sydney. The bride's travelling dress was resida green, trimmed with cream silk and ecru lace, and a green toque. The wedding presents were numerous and valuable. The bride's parents entertained about 100 guests in the evening at the Oddfellows' Hall.
