Biography
Thomas Hodgson was born in about 1826 in Sherburn in Elmet, Yorkshire. He was the son of George Hodgson and Hannah Smith[1].
In 1861 he married Elizabeth Hainsworth[2] and they had 11 children: Hannah (b.1861, d.1864), John Thomas (b.1863), Arthur (b.1865, d.1922), Oliver (b.1867), Violetta (b.1869, d.1890), Elizabeth (b.1871, d.1954), Jane Ann (b.1873), William Hainsworth (b.1875, d.1875), Caroline (b.1876, d.1960), Maria (b,1878) and Sophia (b.1883).
Thomas died in 1911 aged 84[3] and was buried in Rufforth, Yorkshire[4].
