Biography

Mary was born around 1900 in Berbera, British Somaliland.

Mary attended a boarding school in Bombay with her siblings, while her parents resided in Somaliland.^[1]

On the 11th of April 1934, Mary married George Anthony Francis Fernandes in Bombay, India.^[2] Mary's marriage was witnessed by Edith Alice Steinhoff, Fredrick George Steinhoff, Laxman Balkrishna Nayak, and J. B. Spencer.^[3]

Mary worked as a nurse at St. George's Hospital in Mumbai, India. ^[4]
