Biography

Thomas was born on the Isle of Man in 1843. He was the son of Thomas Hodgson and Charlotte Corrin. He migrated with his family to the United States in 1844. They settled in Galena County, Illinois. In 1854, the family moved to Dakota County, Minnesota.

He married Eliza Clague, also of the Isle of Man, in 1868. ^[1] The children were:

• Walter Thomas (1873 - 1891)
• Isabel Charlotte (1875 - 1947)

• Drusilla Margaret (1886 - 1984)
• Elmira Genevieve (1891 - )

The family moved to Grant County, Minnesota in 1877. He homesteaded and taught school. He served as Justice of the Peace. ^[1]

He passed away in 1913. ^[2] He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls, Minnesota. ^[3]
