Charles Melvin Hoff, 52, of Miami, Fla., died suddenly Wednesday of a heart attack.
He was born in Carroll County, a son of the late John H. and Catherine Frock Hoff.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Purdum Hoff,
four children,
Mrs. Janet Cummings of Flager Beach, Fla.,
Mrs. Joan Schatz of Titusville, Fla.,
Harold Hoff, Bunell, Fla. and
Charles W. Hoff, Miami, Fla.;
two grandchildren, three brothers:
William S. Hoff,
Edwin D. Hoff, both of Westminster; and
LeRoy Hoff of New Market:
one sister: Mrs. Carl Kintz of Frederick.
He was a former resident of Carroll County.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday 2 p.m. at the New Windsor funeral home of D.D. Hartzler and Sons.
The Rev. John Eberly, pastor of the Edgewood Church of the Brethren will officiate.
Burial will be in Pipe Creek Cemetery near New Windsor.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saterday evening.^[2]
