↑ Ancestry Wildharelodge : My great great grandmother Clara (Hoopes) Young, was Myrtle's cousin. Their mothers were sisters. Clara was living in the township of Prairie City, close to Baldwin City at the time Myrtle was born. Their family is originally from Drumore and Paradise in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Myrtle's grandmother was Margaret (Marshall) Hoffman and her Grandfather (who died prior to 1850) was Stacy Hoffman. My Grandmother Clara, was a school teacher in Kansas and came to Woodland California about 1875 when her soon-to-be husband sent for her. The cousins remained in contact through the end of their days. I hope this helps put some pieces in place for this line of your family. Kelly
