Leonard was born in 1916. He passed away in 2008.
Born October 21, 1916 in Ringgold, MD, he was the son of the late John L. and Pearl V. (Rice) Hoffman. He lived most of his life in the Hagerstown and Waynesboro areas.
His first wife, the late Alice (Miller) Hoffman, died in 1945. He married his second wife, the late Lucile S. (Smith) Hoffman on July 31, 1948. They moved to Northeast Ave. in August 1956. She died on February 27, 2003.
Mr. Hoffman was a Trackman for the Western Maryland Railroad for over 40 years. He also worked in construction for the State of Pennsylvania and later for Dave Hoffman Used Cars.
He was a Protestant by faith. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Waynesboro Employers and the National AARP.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Wincer of Marion, PA and Martha Koser of Dover, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by one brother, David J. Hoffman.
Burial in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
