This Jacob Hoffman possibly a direct ancestor. Jacob Hoffman married Catherine Plimley. Her parents were Richard Plimley and Elizabeth Clapper. The Clapper side were Palantine migrants, and the Plimley family were of English ( Shropshire) descent and migrated to New Amsterdam c 1690, the name was recorded as Blimly, Blameless, Plumlee.

Jacob + Catherine children were Jacob ( Married Polly Miller), Unknown daughter, Frederick ( Married his first cousin Hannah Plimley), Nicholas ( Married Anna Vrooman).
