the parents of Hermannus Gerhardus are wrong. Elisabeth Dorothea is a direct descendent of Martin Luther. Hermannus Gerhardus should be, if he was a son of Elisabeth Dorothea, also in the book about the descendents of Martin Luther that is edited by the Society of Luther descendents (Lutheriden-Vereinigung in German). But he is not in there. Elisabeth Dorothea has a child of a previous marriage, but from the marriage with Johann Hoffmann Johann Ernst is the oldest child.
