Peter Hoffmann migrated from Germany to United States of America.

Only births of six children found in transcribed St Kastor Catholic Church records and a seventh record for a male child born, baptized, died on "30 Sep 1833". A son, "George" is not found recorded in birth or death records.

Paul and his wife Susanna and their children, emigrated from Prussia (Germany) and arrived at Port of New York on 20 August 1842, aboard the ship Navigator.

"Paul purchased 95 acres of land in Niles Township, Cook County, Northwest quarter of Section 18, and at the time of his death, he owned 265 acres of farmland." Hoffman family history found at the Des Plaines Historical Society, Des Plaines, Cook County, Illinois

NOTE: No death or burial records have been found for Paul, he died some time before the 1850 census, location unknown
