Antonie Louise was born in Zwintschöna on 30 Dec 1848, to Friedrich Hoffmann and Christiane née Lindner. She was baptized on 13 Jan 1850 (maybe the source mistakenly states 1850 instead of 1849?), with witnesses being Paulina Beising in Zwintschöna, Gottfr. Giebter in Großkugel, and Friederike Lindner in Großkugel.
She was slender, but strong. She loved to dance, but lived a frugal and economical life. She was kind and loving, also to the children of Karl Julius' first marriage. She died after after prolonged health problems during menopause, and a spa visit in Oynhausen was without success. She lost her eyesight due to a range of treatment attempts and died.
