John married Nellie Mae Hasting (born on February 7, 1898 in Elkmont, Limestone, Alabama, United States; daughter of Lemuel Richard Hasting and Mattie Lou Martin).
John died on August 6, 1957 in Alabama, United States, aged 73.[1]
