She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Perkinston Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and her flower gardens.
Mrs. Bond was preceded in death by her parents, Esco and Janie Hogan; her husband, Jeffie Bond; her sons, Walter Ray Bond and Richard Bond, Sr.; her grandchildren, Russell Bond and Miranda Montgomery; one great grandchild; her sister, Josie and several half-sisters.
She was survived by her 4 daughters, Iona Baucum of Perkinston, Judy (Ledell) Montgomery and Avonelle (Jeff) Pugh all of Saucier, and Margie (Hank) Potts of Houston, TX; her 2 sons, Daniel (JoAnn) Bond of Fort Payne, AL and George Bond of Iuka, MS; 18 grandchildren, Jana Avant, Stephen Bond, Chris Baucum, Melissa Schroeder, Richard Bond, Jr., Eric Bond, Heather Cox, Nathan Bond, Cammy Leitner, Megan Stark, Jason Pugh, Cyndi Wyles, Aimee Pugh, Stephanie Cochran, Marie Smith, Daniel Bond, Elizabeth Potts, and Matthew Potts; 34 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; her brother, Jessie (Helen) Hogan of Baton Rouge, LA; her sisters, Ola Daniel and Marie (Willie) Bain all of Baton Rouge; and numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
