Biography

Tamara J. 'Tammy' Rehse, 40, of 1859 E. First Street, Little Lake, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at Marquette General Hospital.

Tammy was born February 8, 1961 in Aitkin, Minnesota, to the late Bernard & Elizabeth Vander Wegen Hoge. She was a 1979 graduate of Aitkin High School. She married Tim Rehse in June of 1981 in Aitkin. Tammy was a beloved employee of Jerry's Wilderness Room in Gwinn since 1990. She started as a waitress and later became the manager. She loved reading books and magazines, selling Avon and working with people at the restaurant.

Survivors include her husband, Tim; a son, John Rehse; daughter, Dwanna Rehse; her sister, Lisa David Banks of Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews and relatives in Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held at the Gwinn Funeral Home on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jackie Roe officiating. There will be a luncheon and time of fellowship immediately following the service at the American Legion in Little Lake. Those who knew her are welcome to attend.
