Henry was born about 1821. He passed away before 1893.
The Henry Hogg family is enumerated in the 1851 and 1861 census for Northumberland County, Hamilton Township, Ontario Province, Canada. A daughter Ellen is listed in the earlier census and according to my mother she died in her teens. She is not listed on the 1871 census for Minden Township, Haliburton County, Ontario.
According to the 1851 census, the Henry Hogg family lived in a one story log house and had 50 acres of land, 40 arces under culivation. Eighteen acres was pasture and 10o acres was wooded. Crops raised were wheat, oats, potatoes and turnips. Their livestock consisted of 4 cows, 6 calves, 13 sheep and 6 pigs.[1]
