Biography

Mary Gray Hogg Garden was born on August 21, 1831, to James Hogg and Margaret (Phillips) Hogg. ^[1] The family were living at Atrieve Lake, Yarrow parish. ^[2] Altrieve Lake is a small water feature on the north side of today's B709.

Mary and William Garden married in Dundee, Forfarshire, Scotland, United Kingdom on July 5, 1866. ^[3]

In 1901, Mary (age 69) and William (age 78). lived at Great Western Road, The South, Aberdeen, St Machar, Aberdeenshire, 168, Scotland. Also living in the household were Ann Wood (age 23) and Christina Aird (age 16), both are listed as servants. ^[4]

Mary died on June 13, 1911, in Aberdeen, Aberdeen City, Scotland. ^[5]
