In 1828 he married Princess Feodora of Leiningen, elder half-sister of Princess Victoria of Kent, later Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. He was the son of Carl Ludwig I of Hohenlohe-Langenburg and Countess Amalie Henriette of Solms-Baruth.
Death
He died on 12 April 1860.
