Friedrich Wilhelm II., Elector of Brandenburg, King of Prussia, was born on September 25, 1744. He was the son of August Wilhelm, Prince of Prussia, and Luise Amalie von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel. He died on November 16, 1797.
