He married Lydia Darling on March 20, 1761 in Uxbridge, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay Colony. They had at least eleven children, 5 sons and six daughters.

Peter passed away on July 12, 1807 (aged 66) in Swanzey, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, USA.
