Biography

Phillip James Holden was born on July 14, 1905 in Illinois, United States. He was a son of James Edward Holden and Mabel Dorethea Street.

San Quentin Prison

On December 4, 1930, Phillip was a driver of a bandit car during the hold of up of the Security-First National Bank. He was shot in the head and seriously wounded while sitting in the car outside the bank on the day of the robbery. Phillip was shot by a service station operator after he fired a sawed off shotgun. Phillip was convicted of second degree robbery and sentenced to San Quentin Prison, California, United States. He was received at San Quentin on March 14, 1931. Phillip was pardoned September 29, 1934 and discharged October 4, 1940.

Death

Phillip James Holden died on May 20, 1944 in Alameda, California, United States.
