Emma Holden was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)
Birth
Emma was born on the 17th of September 1858 in North Adelaide, Adelaide City, South Australia, Australia. Her parents are William Holden and Susan Williams William's second wife, who was sometimes known as Sally. [1]
Emma was one of seven children born to William, four of her siblings died young, either in infancy or before the age of 10 years.

Emma's obituary gives her occupation as a Music Teacher[2]
Emma died was reported on the 15th of March 1892. the brief death notice gives an address and mentions her parents William Holden and Susan (Williams) Holden.[3] Emma passed away after a long illness of around eleven weeks she appears to have died at 67 Bartonwood Terrace, in North Adelaide, Australia.[2] She was aged 33 years and single having never married. Her funeral notice appeared in "The Advertiser" on the 16th of March 1892.[4] She was buried in the Walkerville Wesleyan Cemetery, Walkerville, South Australia, Australia[5]
