William was born in 1867. He was the son of Wesley Holden and Mary Evans. He passed away in 1928.

The 1870 United States census records: Wesley (49) and Mary (38) with children Marth P (14), Jeramiah (5), William J (3), and Daniel J (4 months) are living in Goldsberry, Missouri. [1]

The 1880 United States census records: Wesley (57) and Jane M (45) with children Odle J (16), Joseph W (14), Jackson D (11), Caroline S (9), Wesley R (5), and John E (1) are living in Goldsberry, Missouri. They are living next door to Martha Holden and her children. Martha is the widow of Wesley's brother, John Bascom. [2]

The 1900 United States census records: Joseph (33) and Martha (33) with children Myrtle (6), Willard H (5), and Wesley (2) are living in Chapel, Missouri. John Cowan (25) is boarding with them. [3]

The 1910 United States census records: William (43) and children Myrtle (16), Homer (14), Edward (11), Porter (9), Clyde (7), and Florence (4) are living in Goldsberry, Missouri. William is a widower. [4]
