Eric Denzil Holder (1899-1988) was the son of Captain Arthur Charles Holder & his wife Hilda Vere née Bayly.
He married Angela Mary Scott-Mackirdy on the 21st of April 1937 in Malmesbury Abbey.
He wrote the book "Hindu Horsemen" (ISBN-10: 0948251182).
He gained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army.
Holder saw action in WWI. In his book he recounts the balmy years between the wars on the North West frontier and tells of the beauty of Kashmir. In WWII he was badly wounded in action in North Africa.
He died aged 89 in 1988
