Biography
George was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on August 6, 1806, and baptized on August 31. .[1]. He married Anna Lash in 1828[2] and sometime after that date moved with her to Indiana.
He is buried in Hicks Cemetery in Greene County, Indiana.[3]
His memorial on Find A Grave gives his birth year as 1809, which is contradicted by the baptismal record. The memorial states that he died in 1878, whereas the grave stone may say 1875; it's difficult to read.
