In the 1860 census [1] Junius is living in Clarendon, South Carolina with his mother and step father John Gamble, his siblings James (age 8) and sister (age 7), and his half siblings, an unnamed girl W. D. (age 3) and Robert (age 1).
He married Frances "Fannie" Emma China. In the 1880 census [2] James is living with Fannie in Sumter, Sumter, South Carolina and two sons only described as A. M. (age 1) and J. C. (age 1 month). In the 1900 census [3] Junius and Fannie are in Sumter Township (excl. Sumter city), Sumter, South Carolina with three children that are younger than the two in 1880. They were Clarence (age 18), Annie (age 17) and Henry (age 16).
Junius passed away in 1901 and is buried with his wife Fannie in Sumter Cemetery, Sumter, Sumter County, South Carolina. Find A Grave: Memorial #125419452
An obituary from The State, dated 12 Jan 1901:
"Mr J W Holliday, of the Jordan neighborhood, about four miles from this city, died on Wednesday night. His remains were interred in the Sumter cemetery this morning. He was a brother in law of Dr A J China, and brother of Mrs L W Folsom of this city."
