Mary Holland was born in about 1830 in Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of John Holland and Nancy Needham.
In the 1841 census Mary (age 11) was living with her parents and younger sister Jane in Ashton Under Lyne, Lancashire, England. Her father was a cotton spinner.[1]
Research Notes
- no other records for Mary have been found. It's possible John was married prior to marrying Nancy Holland and Mary was the daughter of that marriage.
