Biography
Jesse was born about 1786. He is the son of Asa Holland and Usley Unknown. Asa Holland's sons were of age by Oct 1810 when the family property was sold to John Hale:
Franklin County, Virginia Deed Book 7, p. 345, 19 October 1810, Usley Holland, widow and relict of Asa Holland decd and Mastin Holland, Thomas Holland, Benjamin Holland, Jesse Holland, Eli Holland and William Holland, children of Asa Holland, to John Hale, 814 acres by survey it being part of the land devised by Asa Holland's last will and testament, adj. Thomas Holland, Hook, the road, Meador, Harwood, Jones and Little Indian Run.
