Laurence (sometimes spelt Lawrence; but mostly known as Laurie) Glencoe HOLLAND was born on 23 October 1900, in Scotts Creek, in the Province of South Australia (SA), the son of Matthew HOLLAND and Louisa HEYER.[1]
He served in World War II. Enlisted on 25 May 1940 in Adelaide SA Service number SX3545, Australian Army. Discharged on 31 August 1943 as a Private in the 9 Australian Division. Next of kin Cicily HOLLAND.[6]
He last resided at 14 Tunbridge Street, Woodville South SA.[7][8]
Laurie died, aged 82 years, on 28 August 1983, at Repatriation General Hospital, Daws Road, Daw Park SA.[7][9]
His funeral was held on 31 August 1983 in the Alfred James Funeral Parlor, 193 Unley Road, Unley SA.[8]
He was interred (buried) on 31 August 1983 in the Derrick Garden of Remembrance, Centennial Park, Pasadena SA.[10][11][12]
