23andMe tells me I am 39.4% British and Irish. Ancestry.com says I'm 23% Irish. My most recent fully Irish ancestor is William Francis McCarty whose parents came from Youghal, County Cork, Ireland in the early 19th century. Most of my more distant Irish ancestors are Scots-Irish in Northern Ireland.
Being US-born with northwestern European ancestry, I am not trying to call myself "Latin American." My wife is nearly 100% indigenous Mexican and my daughter scores 47% Native American at AncestryDNA (she didn't get it from me). I suppose I could categorize myself as an "honorary Latin American."
From time to time I find I am either related to somebody who is notable or I would like to honor somebody I know is notable. Since I use the "notables" tag in these profiles, I thought I ought to join the project.
Richard Hollenbeck's DNA has been tested for genealogical purposes. It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Richard or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.

I was wondering if perhaps you would be interested to work on the Portal World-The Netherlands with Melissa and Bill and hopefully more members ? I was thinking maybe we can make it a sub Project of the Dutch Roots Project, where you all can add or work on more specific things related to the Netherlands you would like to see added there or work on.
If you are interested just add your name to the list and let me know, or you can of course contact Melissa or Bill directly.
Hi Richard, I am willing to help you try to figure out John Cole and John Cole. However, I really am a beginner so I would probably be better with direction. I am Ellen Leiby Franzen (Leiby-94) and am related to John Cole Jr. who is my fifth great-grandfather. Let me know what you would like me to do. Thanks, Ellen
Did you know there's a new Source-a-Thon 2017 (first register here) organized for 30 September -2 October 2017 ? A huge event, to keep things organized we are going to work with teams again, since you're a member of our Project, perhaps you would like to join our Team Flying Dutchmen Team to help and source and improve Unsourced Netherlands profiles ?
We sure can use some help and you can win prizes, but the best thing of course is we are going to work on this together get as many as possible Unsourced profiles Sourced and improved and have a lot a fun ! :)
Thanks Richard. I'm excited. I have the feeling I was prepared for this a long time ago. Since I was a boy I was introduced to our family genealogy by my father. Even though I'm already the 6th generation in Argentina, after several in the US, I think this is what Scotts do to guarantee the lineage is told. My daughter is 9 and she is already asking!! What's different now in Technology and the possibility of exchange and to check with others. Happy to be here!!
There is one benefit of being on the trusted list that isn't available unless you are on the trusted list. That is if I want to download a GEDCOM file to have her profile included I must be on the trusted list.
I would be interested in knowing why you won't add me. She is part of my family tree, is she related to you?
Thank you for your prompt Hollabaugh/Hollabough response and for pointing the question to others for consultation. I'm eager to learn best naming practices for WikiTree... I'm in a Savage/Savitz/Sevits conundrum myself!
