In the 1880 Federal Census, he was a farmer in Cass Township, Sullivan County, Indiana. His age was given as 40. He was living with his wife, Jane and 6 children; John F (18), Angeline (15), Henry (13), Morgan (9), Jane (7) and Margaret (6).[3]
William died in 1893 and is buried at Antioch Cemetery, Dugger, Sullivan County, Indiana [4]
