Mary was baptised at St Leonard's, Eynsham on 22nd September 1811.[1] She was the daughter of William and Charlotte.
Marriage
Joseph Wheeler and Mary Holiday were married at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 8th December 1838.[2] Joseph, a bachelor of full age, was living in Hanborough, working as a labourer and the son of Samuel, a labourer. Mary was a spinster of full age, working as a gloveress and living in Freeland. Her father was deceased and no name was provided. Neither could write so both made their mark on the register with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were Gabriel Woodward and Mary Wheeler.[3]
